On our YouTube channel we offer insights into our research. This time on the topic: Additively manufactured vacuum chambers for the use of quantum sensors; presented by Niklas Droese.

Vacuum chambers are additively manufactured at the Institute of Microproduction Technology using the laser powder bed fusion process. In future, these are intended to be part of a complex measuring system that can carry out more precise and sensitive measurements than conventional systems based on cold atoms. By manufacturing the chambers at the institute, the miniaturisation of the entire measuring system can be advanced.
