Research into innovative optical technologies and photonic microsystems is a key focus of the Institute of Microproduction Technology. As part of the PhoenixD Cluster of Excellence, we are actively working on new concepts and ideas for the optics of tomorrow. This video deals with a cost-effective approach to miniaturising optical systems while simultaneously increasing the degree of integration and flexibility with the aim of making these currently still cost-intensive products available to the general public in the future.
