In the context of various projects at the Institute of Micro Production Technology, wear tests have been carried out. Furthermore, with the use of different materials in micro technology, the knowledge has been gained of their mechanical properties in application as a thin layer material. These properties (e.g. hardness) and characteristics (e.g. E-Modulus) can be clearly distinguished from those of solid materials. The measurement technology is located both in the laboratories as well as in the cleanroom of the IMPT.
