On February 23, 2026, Rico Ottermann successfully completed his doctoral degree on the topic of “Highly sensitive thin-film strain gauges based on metal foils for harsh environmental applcations” with a presentation and an oral examination. The IMPT congratulates the new doctor on his defense and summa cum laude distinction!
Rico Ottermann has been managing the research division Micro- and Nanointegration for the last 3 years, contributed significantly to the growth of the division, and is leaving the institute to pursue new opportunities in industry.
