On December 10, 2025, Lukas Steinhoff successfully completed his doctorate on the topic of "Erforschung eines mikrosystemtechnischen Fertigungsprozesses zur Herstellung von flexiblen Mikroschleifwerkzeugen zur Endbearbeitung von metallischen Oberflächen" with a presentation and an oral examination. Lukas Steinhoff successfully transitioned to industry in mid-2025 as a senior engineer at Infineon Technologies Bipolar GmbH & Co. KG, where he continues to focus on process development and stabilization.
