The application of artificial intelligence (AI) should be promoted: That is the goal of the new ProKI demonstration centre (Demonstration and Transfer Network AI in Production). One of eight centres across Germany is being established at Leibniz Universität Hannover (LUH). Among them: Demonstrations at the IMPT.

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are often still uncertain when assessing the opportunities, limits and risks of AI use in production. In many cases, they lack their own resources to try out and push the use of AI without support. Part of the infrastructure in Hannover are various possibilities to test application scenarios at the Production Technology Centre Hannover (PZH) of Leibniz University. Among other things, turning, milling and grinding machining centres, collaborative robots and a variety of sensor systems are available. Based on the infrastructure, a total of eight demonstrators are being set up, which are oriented towards the AI development fields.
