The effect of tin coating in combination with phosphoric acid primers on bone cement bond strength to total hip stem alloys

The tin coating of polished surfaces resulted temporarily into an almost twice cement bond strength to hip stem alloys. However, the increased bond strength significantly decreased again to the same level of uncoated alloys after 150 days in NaCl solution at 37°C.
